Before all my male followers hop on here looking for a peep show, I'm still a wifey so sorry to disappoint, but you ain't getting any free looks here. I kept the intimates private, only for my husbands eyes like they were intended for. However, as controversial as a post like this may be, I do think this post has an important message for all my ladies out there.
So what does this have to do with boudoir? I, like most brides, got my boudoir done for the first time before my wedding as a little surprise for my husband. Courtney from Fleeting Fox Photography did a beautiful job of not only capturing the photos and giving me the confidence to get undressed in front of a total stranger, but afterwards making a little leather bound book of my all favorites to surprise my husband with on the morning of our wedding day... This part I would say is pretty typical in the wedding world today, but to spice things up at home I took it one step further and got some of them printed to hang in the bedroom of our new house. Now most people when they hear this are going to think it's a little risqué or say "Aren't you worried someone is going to see them?", but for that I have two counter questions: "How many people actually go in your bedroom on a normal basis?" and "Isn't the bedroom made to be a romantic space for the two of you?" Going back to falling into comfortability in a relationship, the bedroom can slowly, but surely become a place only to which you both rest your heads at night, throw two dogs into the mix and it'll get far from sexy real quick, but it's supposed to be more than that! Your bedroom is your romantic getaway, your kingdom, your 24/7 honeymoon suite at home. And so... on days where I go to get in bed in a sweatshirt and granny panties those pictures make me rethink the effort I'm putting into keeping our relationship alive and thriving. Ask yourself, what does your bedroom say about you?
