LOVE AND STREETWEAR
Fashion Nova has been one of those "Instagram Brands" that's been floating around on accounts like Worldstar for awhile now...
However despite the unsolicited advertising throughout the years on social media and the help of sponsors like Cardi B and Kylie Jenner, I had never quite pulled the trigger on trying it out. Call me a skeptic, but for most of those online shopping accounts the clothes (and the price) always seem to be too good to be true. Conversely, after seeing a few Influencers I follow recently find success in it, it made me more inclined to trust it enough to try it out and see what the hype was all about ...well that and an 80% off BLOWOUT SALE hahaha lets be honest here.
Now some may say that influencer marketing is the same as paid celebrity endorsements... and maybe justifiably so, as Fashion Nova claimed the top spot for most searched for brand of 2018, giving credit to their influencer marketing campaigns for most of that success. However, I disagree; the difference between influencer marketing and celebrity endorsements is that, while both usually post on social media, influencers are not required to rant and rave about the product so if they don't actually like the clothes or believe in the brand they tell you. Influencers like @grlwithbangs or @leximars don't get anything by pushing Fashion Nova on their followers, aside from maybe a discount on clothes, but if she didn't like the clothes why would she want a discount or to be seen in them, right? I have always been more inclined to follow influencers who seem to be more transparent. I want to see what girls liked as well as what they didn't like cause not everything is perfect and so I can appreciate the people who are open enough to prevent me from making the same mistakes they did (when applicable).
So what did I get?

And what did I think?
Honestly I loved it. Everything I got fit really well and true to size and it also didn't break my bank. The quality of the products was far better than I anticipated, especially because all (but three) of the items I bought were less than $10. Click on the video below for a quick minute-long try-on haul where I show you exactly how each item fit me and how I styled everything I got.
